The role of joints in mechanical equipment is mainly to connect two or more parts, as an intermediary for transferring power and carrying loads. 4. Good wear resistance
As some parts of mechanical equipment need to be frequently contacted, and contact will lead to parts wear, therefore, some parts of the joint need to have good wear resistance. For example, the automobile crankshaft and connecting rod at the connection part of the joint, need to be designed as a synchronizer with gears to ensure its stability and reliability.
5. Strong adaptability
Different mechanical equipment joint form and design requirements are different, so the joint needs to adapt to different forms and requirements. Flexible design for the joints to adapt to different connection methods, such as connecting wires can be used to connect the slot connection, connecting water pipes can be used to connect the threaded connection, connecting the gas pipe can be used to connect the elastic connection and so on.
